Newspaper Report

Dear Students,
This time around I would like you all to focus your attention on a newspaper report. You are encouraged to surf the internet and read any of the available local online newspapers (NST, The Star, etc.) After reading the news, you will then write a commentary on it, and post it on this blog. The things that you need to write on are as follows:
a. The title of the News
b. The source and date of the News
c. The section of the newspaper the news was found in.
d. A brief synopsis of the news report.
e. Your reaction to the content of the news.

*if possible you could also attach a picture related to the news report.
Don't forget to write your NAME and GROUP before posting on the blog.

Paragraph Writing - Descriptive

We have discussed in class the basic mechanics of writing a paragraph, i.e. the topic sentence and supporting details. Now, I would like all of you to post a DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH on this blog. Please do not 'cut and paste' from somewhere, instead let it be your own/original work. Do not worry about grammatical and structural errors. We will deal with that later.
